 Quinn Carpenter
Choreographer

Quinn Carpenter is a New York based dancer, choreographer and assistant director with a passion for the integration of dance and circus arts. Her work spans theater, film, and live performance, including performing with BTS, appearing in the Off-Broadway production of Beyond Babel, choreographed by Keone and Mari Madrid and working with various circus companies. She approaches movement-based storytelling with collaboration, precision and intention.

Rosie Cheeks
Burlesque

Rosie Cheeks is a burlesque performer, actress, and confidence coach based in New York City. A trained dancer, Rosie performed in musical theater productions, touring nationally and internationally for many years. She began her burlesque career at Coney Island as a graduate of the New York School of Burlesque. In NYC she’s brought her dynamic, vivacious stylings to The Slipper Room, Bathtub Gin, Hotsy Totsy, Apotheke, and as resident performer Coby Club and Hotel Chantelle. Outside of NYC, Rosie performs with GalaxyCon After Dark, and The Burlesque Show, a weekly production at The Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Rosie was the co-producer of The Midnight Theatre Follies and Burlesk! at Birdland. Catch Rosie as a featured perfomer in season 4 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Alex Borstein’s Corsets & Clownsuits!

Z Crawford Levis
Venue Co-Owner / Lighting Designer

Experienced Engineering Leader with broad experience in building and operating engineering organizations at scale. I have run 30+ person organizations serving hundreds of millions of users, grown individual contributors into successful managers, launched and scaled products, established hiring practices, and created opportunities for my teams to achieve business value and personal growth.

Lindsay Culbert-Olds
Aerial Straps Artist / Aerial Supervisor

This internationally acclaimed performer just closed out a run with Teatro ZinZanni in Chicago. She began her performing career with Circus Smirkus, and attended Smirkus camp with Jacob Tischler when they were both just 10 years old. A graduate of the National Circus School of Montreal, she is recognized for her distinctive interpretation of aerial straps, weaving strength, fluidity, and emotional nuance into the air. With over a decade of international performance experience, Lindsay has worked with renowned companies including Cirque Du Soleil, Dragone, Strut & Fret, Circus Monti, Cirque Bouffon, Salto Entertainment, and Midnight Circus. In addition to her role as a performer, Lindsay also serves as 5Up’s Aerial Supervisor.

Jillian Horne
Props / Concessions 

Jill is a theatrical technician with over a decade of experience under her belt in carpentry, props, and paints. Her longest running gig was at Cirque du Soleil "O" in Las Vegas where she acted as a scuba diver and maintenance crew for 5 years. Some of her credits include building props for Cirque Mechanics, stage construction for an NFL commercial in the Bellagio Fountain, puppet construction for "Rubble" in the Paw Patrol tour, and an artistic diver (mermaid) at the Silverton Aquarium. She was most recently seen at Northern Stage in Vermont acting as the Scenic Charge. 

Troy Lingelbach
Aerial Silks/Dance Trapeze

With a background in competitive gymnastics and a BFA in Musical Theatre (Marymount Manhattan College), Troy knew they’d found their calling while taking their first aerial silks class (thank you, Groupon). Troy has worked with Austin McCormick’s Company XIV (Nutcracker Rouge, Seven Sins), Angela Butch’s ABCirque, (Petroushka in Stravinski’s Petroushka), and regularly performs at The Box, The House of Yes, The Stranger, The Red Pavilion, and The Slipper Room. Troy specializes in dance trapeze, aerial silks, aerial straps, and lyra. They also train and have performed rope, Spanish web, hand balancing, and partner acrobatics.

Willem McGowan
Ball Juggler / Diabolo

Willem McGowan began training juggling at the age of 12 in Chicago, USA. After training with different youth circus organizations around the United States Willem later moved to Quebec City, Canada, where he attended l’école de Cirque de Québec, and graduated in 2017 with a specialty in Diabolo. Since finishing school, Willem has performed around the world with various companies including the Midnight Circus in Chicago, Strut & Fret in Australia, and Circus Monti in Switzerland.

Collin Miclon
Writer / Creator / Ringmaster

Collin Miclon is one of the co-creators of the clown exercise, "Business Business Business", the inspiration for this show. He and his sibling, Shane Miclon, have been performing together for over ten years, and have been brothers for even longer. The two literally grew up in their father’s vaudeville style theater in Buckfield, Maine. Collin toured with the Vermont based youth circus “Circus Smirkus” in 2010 & 2011. He's worked with Eepy Bird's Traveling Light, Wondershow Cabaret, and The Burlesque Show in Atlantic City. Collin was the co-head coach at Circus Smirkus camp in 2025, and Jacob Tischler's boss. Now, Jacob is Collin's boss. And Jacob likes it that way.

Shane Miclon
Writer / Juggler

Shane Miclon has been juggling since age five. After high school he began a multi-year mentorship with renowned juggling coach Fritz Grobe. He has performed with companies such as Cirque Mechanics, ABCirque, and was part of the juggling ensemble for multiple runs of the Metropolitan Opera’s production of “Akhnaten”. Shane and Collin fine-tuned their signature style of comedic acro-juggling while circulating throughout New York’s cabaret scene in 2015, performing at venues such as The Slipper Room, Dixon Place, and the House of Yes.

Emiko Nakagawa
Tap Dancer

Emiko Nakagawa is a Japanese tap dance artist currently based in NYC. Before coming to NY, she achieved international recognition through performing at the show “JUBA!” at Chicago Tap Festival, and the show at Big Apple Tap Festival in NY. She also has had success at many international tap dance contests. She was a winner of both Woodshed Experience and LA Tap Fest cutting contests in 2019. In the tap dance contest KAWASAKI TAP FESTIVAL in Japan, she won six prizes until 2016 and was the champion in 2017. After coming to NY, Emiko was awarded an Outstanding Student at Broadway Dance Center in 2022. She is an alumnus of The School at Jacob’s Pillow 2023. She successfully made her first circus appearance which New York Circus Project are the presenting organization in 2025. She works for Caleb Teicher & Company, Dorrance Dance and more. Her choreography and performances have been shown at 54 Below, Symphony Space, The Joyce Theater, World of Dance (Headliner), 92NY, and the Vail Dance Festival.

Sofia Nastri
Costume Designer

I started my career in theatre and film in High School when I joined the theatre crew and fell in love with creating the magic with which stories are told.   After working at two theatres in the area I  went to college where I studied Film and Television as well as Neuroscience. 

Throughout college, I worked on live productions both in theatre clubs working as the sound designer, set designer, or on the costume team and as a technician at a live production company.  I used these skills while working on other students' projects, my own, and my hobbies to create everyday clothing for myself.   In 2022   I started in the  Boston University  Costume Production graduate program. 

Dia Seskin
Handstand Artist / Social Media Director

Dia Seskin is a New York City based handbalancer, contortionist, and hula hoop artist. With a background in gymnastics, dance, and theater, she creates work that combines technician precision with physical storytelling. Influenced by traditional Mongolian Contortion, theater and flow arts, she performs both locally and internationally. In New York City, she performs with the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and appears weekly as the resident contortionist in a speakeasy-themed cabaret with ABCirque. She recently created and performed First Light, a contemporary circus-theater work developed with 3AMTheatre, combining handbalancing, contortion, and acrobatics. Dia also performs throughout the US and internationally with the Mongolian Contortion Center under the direction of Serchmaa Byamba.

Ben Scheff
Composer / Sound Designer

Hi!

I'm Ben. I use he/they pronouns. I am a freelance sound designer and composer for theater, circus, and dance, as well as a tinkerer and maker. I'm centered in NYC and New England, but work wherever a project takes me. Recent credits include: 11toMidnight (Hideaway), Notes from Now (Prospect Musicals), Only Human (Lucifer, LLC), 'Twas the Night Before... (Cirque du Soleil), Game On! (Circus Smirkus), Always...Patsy Cline (Theatre by the Sea), and Noises Off (Skylight Music Theatre). 

Jacob Tischler
Director / Producer

Jacob spent four years with Circus Smirkus as a clown, earned his BFA in acting at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, and recently his MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California. His acting career earned him a Helen Hayes nomination for Best Supporting Actor at Olney Theatre Center. Past circus work includes co-writing the summer shows for Circus Smirkus camp, and creating/producing/writing LIQUID: a punk rock circus, for New York Circus Project.
